Your generosity helps students become future Saints
Arizona State University is the largest public university in the United States. Here, students are searching for meaning, belonging, and truth in the midst of an overwhelming academic and social environment. Too often, they drift away from the Church when they don’t have support.
You can change that by helping us provide ASU students with a spiritual home where they can encounter Christ.
Here is what our students are saying:
The Newman Center has been central to my formation in college, allowing me to build deep,
meaningful relationships with Catholics for the first time. As a freshman, faith didn’t mean much to me, but through authentic friendships and my catechesis in OCIA, the Lord took hold of my life and set me on a better path than I could have imagined. I am deeply grateful for the love and kindness the Newman community shows daily. -Sam Ferguson
My name is Jayce Galvez, I started coming to the Newman Center welcome week of my freshman year. I was invited into many types of formation, which ultimately led me to getting confirmed in April of 2024. Since then I have grown in my faith through leadership, attending retreats, and embarking on a pilgrimage to Rome through Mary College, in which I had the privilege to shake hands with our late Holy Father Pope Francis. -Jayce Galvez
Newman has drastically impacted my life for the better. This community continues to amaze me by expanding my capacity to love others. It has fostered a deeper, more profound, and intimate relationship with God by strengthening my prayer life and surrounding me with meaningful relationships. Through Newman, I’ve grown not only in faith but also in how I live out love and service each day.
The Problem
Questions That ASU Students Are Asking
On the largest public university campus in America, students are quietly asking some of life’s most important questions:
- Where do I belong?
Who are my friends? Where can I find community that shares my values and faith? - How do I grow in my faith?
How do I stay rooted in prayer, receive the sacraments, and find solid Catholic teaching in a secular environment? - What is my purpose?
What is God’s call for my life? How do I integrate faith into my career, relationships, and service to others?
Without a spiritual home to wrestle with these questions, many students lose their way… and too often, lose their faith.
The Solution
At ASU Catholic Newman Center, your generosity ensures these questions don’t go unanswered.
