THE PARKING CHANGE BEGINS APRIL 1, 2025

Tempe is an Urban City

Tempe is fast becoming an urban city and the Newman Center sits directly in the middle of Tempe’s Central Urban Core. Below we have tried to share with you all of the changes to our property and the effects on our parking. These changes will have a major impact on how you will visit the Newman Center.

Paid parking is available when visiting the Newman Center at the following locations:

Fulton Center Parking Structure

Guests and visitors will find the Fulton Center Visitor Parking the easiest and most convenient parking location for the Newman Center. This is an ASU paid parking lot. The price to park here is $4.00 for the first hour, $4.00 per hour for each of the next 3 hours. Beyond 4 hours, you will just pay the daily rate of $16.00.

Other Parking Options

ASU Lot 67 (Enter off of 6th Street) is a paid surface parking lot on 6th street just west of College Avenue.

Stadium Parking Structure is a paid parking garage on 6th Street just east of College Avenue.

Metered Street Parking. Paid metered street parking is available on East 6th and 7th Streets between College and Mill Avenues.

The United Methodist Church Parking Lot is directly across the street from the Newman Center on University Drive. (Airgarage.com app is required)

Parking for Weekday Masses and Adoration

Newman celebrates daily Mass at 12:15 pm and 5:15 pm Mondays-Thursdays, and 12:15 pm on Fridays during the academic year. In addition, we offer Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Mondays through Thursdays from 9:00 am to 4:45 pm. We do not offer parking validation to visitors attending these Masses or Adoration. Visitors should park in one of the options suggested above.

Parking for Weekend Masses

Saturday Masses

Free Parking in the Fulton Parking Structure is available to Newman visitors attending the 4:00 PM Saturday Masses. To receive free parking you must pick up a validation ticket in the vestibule. The validation ticket is valid for three (3) hours of free parking. You will be responsible for any additional amount after that time. Please read below on when parking is not validated for a Saturday Mass.

Sundays Masses

The Newman Center will provide free validated parking to our Sunday Masses visitors when they park in the Fulton Parking Structure. To receive free parking you must pick up a validation ticket in the Newman Center Church’s vestibule. The validation ticket is valid only for three (3) hours of free parking. You will be responsible for any additional amount beyond that.

Football Game Day and Saturday Masses

There is no free parking for Newman visitors on Saturdays when ASU is hosting a home football game. Here are the 2025 ASU Football Saturday home games - Aug 30, Sep 13, Oct 18, Oct 25, Nov 15.

When attending Mass on a Saturday game day, visitors are encouraged to use street parking. If you use the Fulton Center Parking Structure during a home football game you will be charged the prevailing event parking rate.

Please Be Aware: All validation tickets provided by the Newman Center for the Fulton Parking Structure are only valid for Saturday and Sunday Masses as explained above. The validation tickets are not accepted at any of the other ASU parking facilities, metered street parking or the United Methodist Church.

Other Newman Events

If you are visiting the Newman Center during the week Monday-Friday for daily Mass, a funeral, wedding, wedding rehearsal, or other event, you will be responsible for your parking. Newman does not provide parking validation for these events.
