Santoro Dinners
“Breaking bread” together is our strongest form of outreach at the Newman Center and is the most effective way to build the bonds of community. It is one of the last lessons Christ taught us in the upstairs room (and what college student isn’t inspired by food?!).
Mike Santoro, beloved alumni of the ASU Newman Center (BS in Geography 2002, MS in Geography 2009 and PhD 2017) who died this past May at the young age of 45, knew this and practiced it wholeheartedly throughout his life. He was a great cook and jumped on any opportunity to get to know someone over a meal.
The Newman Center, as well as Maggie’s Place and Andre House, benefited greatly from Mike and his wife Annie’s generosity. Now we celebrate his legacy and honor him via the Santoro Dinners at the ASU Newman Center.
The Santoro Dinners aim to embody the values Mike cherished by fostering fellowship and hospitality within our student community. We will continue to follow his mission: bringing people together, sharing kindness, and supporting one another.
Please join us by sponsoring one of the Santoro Dinners for ASU's Newman students. Sign up below to be contacted by a Newman staff member with more information.
