Welcome to ASU Catholic Newman Center at ASU!

A Newman Center’s not really a “parish” in the sense most of us have… it’s because our mission is directed not to a specific territory, but to a specific group of people – the ASU Community. Lots of people make our Newman Center their “spiritual home”… alumni, University faculty and staff, people who live nearby, souls from across the Valley who just like it here! Anyone’s welcome at Newman!

“Registering” as a Newmanite is easy and you can register here online. It just allows our priests and staff to know you a bit, and formally connects you with us.

There’s of course Mass celebrated regularly throughout the week and on weekends, several slots for confessions, an Adoration Chapel that’s a quiet haven, periodic lectures and presentations on timely topics at Mary College – a satellite of the University of Mary whose main campus is in Bismarck, ND – operates out of our old St. Mary’s church here onsite. The college has an academic partnership with ASU and offers Catholic Studies courses, weekly theological debates and presentations.

Homecoming, Parents Weekend, St. Vincent de Paul’s Food Drive, student Mission trips to Mexico, Still The One – Celebrating Marriage here at Newman, the Annual Newman Gala… they don’t happen without dedicated people behind it… it’s how you can add to community life.
