Mission Statement

Go and teach all people my Gospel… I am with you always, until the end of the world.
—Mt 23:19-20

The Newman Center is the foundation of Catholic life for the ASU community. We are forming the whole person in the Truth and good news of Jesus Christ and developing leaders who will fulfill their vocation to sanctify the world.

The All Saints Newman Center is dedicated to the spiritual flourishing of our students, faculty and staff at the main campus of Arizona State University in Tempe. Our priorities are fourfold:

  1. To draw college students, faculty and staff deeper into relationship with Jesus Christ through large- and small-group discipleship, personal prayer, charitable service and the sacramental life. We especially seek to form students as mature Christians rooted in the liturgical, intellectual and spiritual traditions of the Church.
  2. To give testimony on our secular university campus to the transformative power of the Gospel through public witness, intellectual offerings and personal invitation.
  3. To form our students as future Church leaders and, upon graduation, to send them forth to revitalize their local parishes and to sanctify their communities.
  4. To invite alumni, parents, neighbors and friends to support our mission to the ASU community both spiritually and materially.

ASU Newman also welcomes students from nearby colleges which lack their own Newman Centers.
